Construction equipment, such as excavators, loaders, backhoe loaders, and electric dump trucks, falls under the category of heavy-duty vehicles. All of these operate in harsh environments, amid dust, mud, and constant vibrations. Therefore, they require reliable, high-performance batteries capable of withstanding intensive cycles and extreme temperatures, with fast charging and minimal maintenance. Retrofitting existing vehicles equipped with lead-acid or traditional chemical batteries requires customized solutions designed to fit the specific dimensions, connectors, and electronic systems of each vehicle.

The proprietary BMS, integrated into our batteries, allows for seamless integration with fully electric, hybrid, and bimodal vehicles, depending on the vehicle manufacturer’s requirements.


To date, we have developed solutions operating at both 24 volts and 48 volts, with a total energy capacity ranging from 5 to 20 kWh, as well as solutions operating at 80 volts and 96 volts, with a total energy capacity ranging from 10 to 30 kWh.

Benefits of Electrification with Custom LFP Solutions

Aliant Battery’s custom LFP batteries ensure maximum reliability, high cycle life, and operational safety, even on the most demanding construction sites. Intelligent management via the BMS allows for the optimization of work cycles, reduced downtime, and lower overall energy costs. These custom solutions ensure compatibility with both new and retrofitted machinery, improving efficiency and sustainability, reducing emissions, and supporting the ESG strategies of urban and indoor construction sites.

The advantages of 80/96-volt batteries over those with lower voltages lie both in the overall efficiency of the system—since they require lower currents while delivering the same power—and in the efficiency and size of the electric motor, which is significantly more compact.

However, 48-volt solutions offer significant simplifications because they are classified as Ultra Low Voltage (<60 V DC at full charge), resulting in safety benefits against electrical hazards.

Onboard Charger

Display
